The Ferguson Song

5 June 1982 was a special date: The Dutch Fergusons were then no less than 200 years in the Netherlands! It was celebrated with a meeting with the slogan:

"De Fergusons: 2 Eeuwen in Nederland, ze schudden elkaar 5 juni de hand!"

("The Fergusons: 2 centuries in The Netherlands, they will meet each other on June 5th")

At the meeting there was a song made in the manner of De Zilvervloot. According to the information: "This melody was chosen because it is generally known, cheerful and dynamic". If you weren't at the meeting, you missed a lot! ;)
